Info pages try to sort of introduce you to the person. Everyone sounds stereotypical when summarized: human, doctor of computer science, musician, dabbling author, SCAdian, and so forth. I'd like to think my journal introduces me better than I can, so have fun reading and tell me who you think I think I am...
Some basic courtesy:
If you Friend me, introduce yourself; it's what the first post in my journal is for. Don't be shy -- LJ is about meeting people. Plus, that way I have a clue who you are and that you find the journal interesting enough to read regularly. It gives me time to decide if the converse is true; I have a fairly inexpressible algorithm for who I friend, so please don't be offended if I don't reciprocate for everyone, especially folks I haven't met. But if you friend me, and then I don't friend you back, and then you unfriend me just because I didn't immediately friend you back...well, it's all really amusing.
Play nice. Be excellent to each other. Remember that the text on your computer screen is made of actual people. If you're having a bad day, maybe step away from the "Reply" button for a while before replying here.
This journal evidently may require lying about your birth year to read. Manage your profile and enter in Jan 1st, 1900, the "John Doe" date for circumventing useless checks like these.
